Which sites are you using for "business"? Another Web2.0 list...

Disclaimer: you do probably already know all these sites if you are like me spending lot of time on the Internet... (too much time?) But still, some people could be interested, like the customer I have been working with lately...

During a presentation to a customer around Web 2.0 and Social Networking, which sites do I use myself and why they could be interested for customer and their business.... So I really quickly write up this list, and just want to share it here...

http://flickr.com
http://dailymotion.com

I use these site as consumer, but these services are more and more important in customer business, and will be part of our job as developer/integrator.

Hmm, when you see this list you can tell that I am a very happy Google user, and I have not talk about the other services that I use from Google: Gmail, GTalk, Analytics, Notebooks, and obviously the search...

Hi Tug

Nice list. Netvibes is a great French product eh?

Do you think there is such a thing as a "web2.0 operating system"? Things like gOS and AjaxWindows...

Angus,

Hmm for me the best Web2.0 OS is... MacOSX on the iPhone ;)

I personally love Exo ( http://www.exoplatform.com ). but honestly, I am a big MacOS X fan and the different plugins and tools that are associated with the different sites that I use around Social Networking/Flickr and so on is for the moment sufficient to me...

I would answer to Angus and Tug ...
I understand Tug saying Mac OS X for the iPhone is a Web 2.0 OS ... and i agree .
- Considering some "Web 2" services are well integrated in the iPhone's OS (YouTube, Google Map)
- Considering iPhone's OS has a web 2 Look and Feel ... but in fact, i think many of the Web 2 applications you find on the internet were inspired by Mac OS X in term of look and feel
- Considering "Web 2.0" applications on the Internet and on the iPhone's OS have many things in common, concerning ease of use, ergonomy, transition effects between panels.

But i think Angus spoke of a Web 2.0 OS realized in Ajax technology : i know YouOS (http://youos.com) , that was launched last year. Many years ago (around 2000), a great Web OS was "WebOS", realized with same technologies (Javascript, CSS, DHTML) than Ajax.
